We are seeking a proactive and experienced EU Healthcare Compliance Manager to join our Medical Affairs team in Amsterdam or London. This standalone role offers the chance to lead and oversee all operational healthcare and scientific compliance activities across the EU region, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to champion code compliance and drive continuous improvement.

About the Role

You will play a pivotal hands-on role in ensuring Shionogi’s scientific data dissemination and medical affairs activities are fully compliant with EFPIA and local country codes. You will:

                      Lead and coordinate compliance committees, ensuring effective governance and reporting.

                      Own and update healthcare compliance related SOPs and processes, ensuring they are fit for purpose.

                      Act as the primary advocate and subject matter expert for code compliance, providing guidance and answering queries from internal stakeholders.

                      Oversee review and approval processes for materials produced within the regional office.

                      Provide training to medical affairs and other personnel to maintain internal capability and compliance awareness.

                      Arrange internal audits to ensure compliance processes align with best practice.

                      Collaborate with key stakeholders at regional and country level to foster a culture of compliance and support process improvement initiatives.

 

What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You will combine deep knowledge of healthcare compliance with strong guidance, communication, and change management skills.

We are looking for:

                      Extensive experience in healthcare compliance within the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven ability to provide expert guidance and support

                      Proven ability to manage and lead multiple projects and change initiatives.

                      Strong knowledge of applicable EU and UK regulations and legal requirements.

                      Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and influence cross-functionally.

                      Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with a systematic approach to prioritisation.

                      Demonstrated success in building relationships and fostering a customer-focused mindset.

                      The highest integrity and ethical standards.

                      Advanced scientific or medical degree (e.g. MSc, MD, PharmD, or equivalent in a medical or health-related field).
